Silence Of Shadow
The work Silence Of Shadow is inspired by an experience of accidental blindness. Using traditional photography techniques, it captures blind individuals in a vibrant, colorful world, inviting non-professional models to participate. Blind people are often considered irrelevant to fashion, but this project breaks free from the constraints of visual-centric norms, advocating for diverse aesthetic standards and promoting a more inclusive, de-elitized view of fashion. Through the participation of blind individuals, the project showcases unique personalities and styles, challenging the trend-setting dominance of a select few and providing marginalized groups with a platform for self-expression. The blind participants reinterpret fashion through their unique perceptions, breaking societal stereotypes and challenging the visual-centric standards. This approach returns fashion to a personalized form of expression, rather than a consumption-driven symbol dictated by capital.
